In December of 2001, Adam & Agie were both working in a small restaurant in the Northwest corner of Los Angeles. They had spoken on occasion and were on friendly terms, but didn't really know each other. One day, Adam walked into the Employee Breakroom to eat his lunch and noticed Agie was reading a Dragonball Z manga. Adam was an avid fan of the anime and they quickly struck up a conversation. It didn't take long for them to begin dating and spending hours on end watching anime!

Each of them had friends that were interested in either Anime or Manga who expressed jealousy that they spent so much time together doing nothing but watching Anime! It was then, that they formed the idea for this website, in the hopes that not only their friends, but EVERYONE interested in Anime and Manga could find love, friends, and penpals!
